Originally designed by Arne Jacobsen for professors at St. Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford, England, Fritz Hansen’s elegant Oxford™ chair has since been upgraded for a new generation of workspaces to offer supreme sitting comfort and customisation to suit every modern need. A marriage of form and function, the medium-back 3293T is set on a five-star base with an adjustable seat height and tilt mechanism that reclines as you lean back. Available with armrests which tuck neatly under tabletops. The minimalist design is cushioned for comfort and lumbar support for a more natural sitting posture.

All Domestic US shipping is by UPS, FEDEX or USPS. All orders are shipped from within the United States.


Orders with in stock inventory will be fulfilled within 1-2 business days (excluding holidays). Please note your order may encounter delays once shipped with UPS/FEDEX or USPS due to COVID-19, increased shipping volume or inclement weather which is out of our control.

If White Glove Delivery is purchased, then our uniformed and professionally trained delivery team will do the following:


- We blanket wrap and shrink-wrap the order and load it onto one of our home delivery trucks.


- We call you 30 minutes before our arrival. Upon arrival, we perform a walk-through to assess where the product(s) needs to be placed


- We then bring the order to the room of choice and unpack the product(s)


- We will set up the order according to your wishes, including 30 minutes of assembly


- We always clean the area upon leaving so the you can enjoy your new purchase right away!

Style & comfort

It is said that as a child growing up in Copenhagen, Arne Jacobsen painted over the Victorian wallpaper in his bedroom. But young Arne did not cover his walls with typical childish drawings or paint the ornate wallpaper boyish blue. Instead, he decided to paint his room entirely white. His decision may seem commonplace today, but in the early twentieth century white walls were not yet in fashion. From the very beginning, Arne Jacobsen was ahead of his time.

The shell is made of 7 layers of birch veneer. The shell is upholstered with HR foam and covered with textile or leather.

The base and armrests come in two finishes; satin polished or powder coated aluminium, while the five-star base is also optionally available in mirror chrome.
