Earth Stool is a circular bar stool designed by Danish architect Eva Harlou. Earth Stool is the result of a new innovative waste-to-value technique that enables Mater to reuse companies’ industrial waste, e.g. plastic waste and other fibre-based materials.The seats are made from upcycled industrial plastic waste from GROHE and coffee bean shells from BKI coffee. The technique is developed in collaboration with Danish Technological Institute with support from the University of Copenhagen.

Technical Specifications

Eva Harlou is a Danish architect graduated from Aarhus School of Architecture in 2003. Harlou’s designs illustrate her Scandinavian sense of form, function and beauty while at the same time working internationally ambitiously and always creating something unique. Harlou has been awarded with “Best Breakthrough Designer” by Wallpaper * Magazine in 2007, and has her own architectural firm in Copenhagen from where she designs both buildings and furniture. Eva Harlou is an excellent mediator and hosted a wide range of residential and architecture programs on television.
