Named after its ability to help shape the design of a room, the simple yet striking shelving is available in three versions, each in varying heights and configurations. The Planner MC520 has a distinctive cross brace for improved strength and four-and-a-half shelves, displaying Paul McCobb’s signature approach to design with visual transparency.

All Domestic US shipping is by UPS, FEDEX or USPS. All orders are shipped from within the United States.


Orders with in stock inventory will be fulfilled within 1-2 business days (excluding holidays). Please note your order may encounter delays once shipped with UPS/FEDEX or USPS due to COVID-19, increased shipping volume or inclement weather which is out of our control.

WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY AVAILABLE


We also offer White Glove Delivery Service as an add-on option on our checkout page.


If White Glove Delivery is purchased, then our uniformed and professionally trained delivery team will do the following:


- We blanket wrap and shrink-wrap the order and load it onto one of our home delivery trucks.


- We call you 30 minutes before our arrival. Upon arrival, we perform a walk-through to assess where the product(s) needs to be placed


- We then bring the order to the room of choice and unpack the product(s)


- We will set up the order according to your wishes, including 30 minutes of assembly


- We always clean the area upon leaving so the you can enjoy your new purchase right away!

A true marvel brought to life

Paul McCobb moved from Boston to New York to pursue his dream of becoming a designer. When it came to design he was completely selftaught but his profound understanding of perspective paved the way for his emerging career as one of the most important designers of the time. Perspective and scale in particular became a trademark for McCobb, whose tables, shelves and even lamps were the result of meticulous attention to the room the design would inhabit. Thin lines, simplicity of form and a distinct lightness characterise the works of Paul McCobb. He was a realist and a perfectionist and his design pieces are a clear reflection of his personality.

Materials

The Bauhaus-inspired lines of each unit are crafted in durable powder-coated steel with a slightly matte finish. The joints are welded by hand and gently rounded to soften the overall expression. Diagonal rods on the two larger designs lend added support, while creating visual interest in the negative space. Shelves are made with oak veneer, bevelled at the edges to fit seamlessly with the frame – one of many small but significant details.
